Link your Microsoft Teams account to Colloquial

If your organisation uses Colloquial with Microsoft Teams, linking your account lets Colloquial reach you where you already work: it can share Fact Cards with you, ask you to confirm details you own, and let you answer without leaving the chat.

You only need to do this once.

Link your account

In Microsoft Teams, find the message from Colloquial inviting you to link your account. It's usually posted in a channel by your Colloquial administrator.
Choose the link in that message.

Colloquial opens and shows you which organisation and which account you're about to link. Check it's the right one.
Choose Link identity.

That's it — you'll see a confirmation and land in Colloquial.

What this doesn't do. Colloquial never reads your existing chats or files. Linking only lets it message you, and lets it recognise you when you reply.

What changes once you're linked

Colleagues can share a Fact Card with you directly in Teams.
When a Fact you own needs confirming, Colloquial can ask you in Teams instead of by email.
You can answer assessment requests in the chat, and Colloquial records the answer against you.

Unlink your account

If you'd rather Colloquial didn't message you in Teams, you can disconnect at any time.

While signed in to Colloquial, go to /integrations/teams/unlink_identity — for example https://app.colloquial.io/integrations/teams/unlink_identity . There's no menu item for it yet.
Choose Remove link.

Unlinking stops Colloquial messaging you in Teams and stops you answering assessment requests from the chat. Your Colloquial account and everything in it is untouched, and you can link again later.

Troubleshooting

"You've already linked this Microsoft Teams account"

You're set up already — nothing more to do.

I signed in but it linked the wrong organisation

The link applies to whichever organisation you're currently signed in to. Switch to the right organisation, then use the link again.

I can't find the message in Teams

Ask a Colloquial administrator to post the prompt again — they can do it from Settings → Microsoft Teams → People. They can also link your account for you without you doing anything.
